Job summary

ARR Craib Ltd in Inverness is looking for a Class 1 Driver for day shifts, Monday to Friday beginning at 07:00. You will operate curtain-side trailers for multi-drop pallet deliveries across Central Scotland, ensuring loads are secured and vehicles are checked daily.

You will work closely with the transport team to meet customer expectations and participate in ongoing DCPC training and industry best practices. A competitive package and benefits await.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Tachograph Card.
• Customer service focused and deadline-driven.
• Able to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and team oriented.
• Good geographical knowledge of Central Scotland.
• Fit, flexible, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Use curtain-side trailers to make multi-drop deliveries of pallets within the Pallet Network across Central Scotland.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured properly using straps and nets.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks using the company phone.
• Stay in regular contact with the transport team to update progress and customer expectations.
• Participate in regular training to stay updated on industry standards.

About The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Use curtain-side trailers to make multi-drop collections and deliveries of pallets within the Pallet Network throughout Central Scotland.


• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage using straps, nets, and other securing devices.


• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.


• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.


• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices

Essential Skills And Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence


• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card


• Passionate about providing excellent customer service


• Ability to work to deadlines
