Job summary

SRS Recruiting Limited in Scunthorpe is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers (C+E) for nationwide deliveries and regular tramping, Monday to Friday shifts.

Join our growing logistics team with a modern fleet, competitive hourly pay (£16.06–£18.00) plus a nightly tramping allowance (£26.20) and weekly pay, supporting a strong earning potential.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of 6 months holding your Class 1 licence.
• Minimum of 3 months' Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• No DD, DR, DG, IN or CD endorsements due to insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete nationwide deliveries and collections across the UK.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Deliver goods safely, efficiently and on time.
• Communicate delays or issues to the transport office.
• Adhere to Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive.
• Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism and vehicle care.

Pay: £16.06 - £18.00 per hour (depending on holiday pay option) + £26.20 nightly tramping allowance

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Approximately 60-65 hours per week
• Regular nights out (Tramping)
• Occasional Saturday mornings when required by the operation

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, you'll be responsible for completing nationwide deliveries and collections across the UK while representing our client professionally at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• General haulage deliveries and collections
• Curtain-sided trailer work
• Occasional container work
• Daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
• Delivering goods safely, efficiently and on time
• Communicating with the transport office regarding any delays or issues
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
• Complying with Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
• Maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism and vehicle care
