Job summary

The Best Connection in Goole is recruiting Class 1 Tramper Drivers for ongoing, long‑term work across the UK, with a modern, well‑maintained fleet and a supportive transport team that understands life on the road.

You’ll have Monday–Friday tramping, occasional nights out, and regular miles, with an assessed start and a clear route to a permanent position after eight weeks. Full UK Class 1 (CE) licence and CPC required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 1 (CE) Licence is required.
• Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DD, DR or IN endorsements.
• A paid driving assessment is required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Class 1 tramping work across the UK.
• Transporting rail manufacturing components.
• Curtain‑sided trailer work.
• Driver assigned to the same vehicle where possible.
• Regular, planned work with a professional logistics operation.
• Monday to Friday tramping with no regular weekend requirement.

Excellent Pay Rates

Weekdays

• £15.22 per hour
• £20.38 per hour after 40 hours

Weekends & Bank Holidays

• £20.38 per hour Saturdays
• £30.44 per hour Sundays and Bank Holidays

Additional Payments

• £26.20 Night Out Allowance
