Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting a Weekend Class 1 (C+E) Shunter Driver in Scunthorpe. You will move trailers between the factory and logistics facility, with a short road transfer of around 5 minutes.

This onsite role requires reliable, safe and professional working practices and a minimum of one year’s Class 1 driving experience. The shifts occur at the weekend with competitive rates of pay.

Ongoing work for the right candidate with a focus on safety and efficiency in a busy operation.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 yearly Class 1 driving experience
No CU, DR or DD endorsements on licence
Reliable and professional approach to work
Commitment to safe working practices

Responsibilities

Shunting trailers between factory and logistics operations
Coupling and uncoupling trailers
Completing vehicle checks
Adhering to site and road safety procedures
Short-distance road driving between locations

Job description

The Best Connection are recruiting for a Weekend Class 1 (C+E) Shunter Driver to join a busy operation in Scunthorpe.

This is not just an onsite shunting role. Drivers will be responsible for moving trailers between the factory and logistics facility, requiring a short journey on a public road of approximately 5 minutes.

Pay Rates

Saturday: £19.00 per hour (Flat Rate)

Sunday: £22.00 per hour (Flat Rate)
