Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers for our client in Hinckley. You will drive Class 1 vehicles, move trailers and tug units, complete standard route paperwork and perform pre- and post-route vehicle checks.

You must possess a Class 1 licence with at least 12 months of commercial driving experience, UK DCPC and Digi-tacho cards, and be able to work various shifts. No more than 6 points on your licence; follow Working Time Directive for hours.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence and 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and Digi-tacho card requirement.
• No endorsements: up to 6 points; DD, TT, DR, CD, IN not accepted.
• Knowledge of Working Time Directive and driving hours management.

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience in commercial driving. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional driver, you will have a good knowledge of the Working Time Directive and be able to manage your hours accordingly.

You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
