The position of Class 1 Driver involves:

• This is a permanent full-time position to cover holiday and sickness.
• Collecting and delivering customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, including load security using ratchet straps.
• Delivering loads throughout the UK, both full and groupage loads.
• Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
• Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
• Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates and managing customers’ expectations.

Attending regular training sessions.

• A flexible approach is required as the position involves covering both day and night shifts.
• This position may also involve tramping, requiring overnight stays.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Driver:

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
