Job summary

Booker is recruiting for Class 1 Night Trunking Drivers to join the Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site. You will be responsible for the safe and professional transportation of stock between sites as part of our night trunking operation.

This is a trunking role rather than a multi-drop delivery position. The role operates on a rotating two-week shift pattern, with Week 1: Mon-Fri and Week 2: Sun-Fri (Thu rest).

Qualifications

• A valid Class 1 (LGV C+E) licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A professional approach to driving and transport operations.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers.
• Teamwork and flexibility for rotating duties.
• Previous trunking experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely and professionally transport stock between sites during night trunking.
• Operate as part of the night trunking operation, not multi-drop delivery.
• Occasionally rotate through warehouse duties to support wider operations.

About the role

We're recruiting for Class 1 Night Trunking Drivers to join our Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and professional transportation of stock between sites as part of our night trunking operation. This is a trunking role rather than a multi-drop delivery position.

Working Pattern

The role operates on a rotating two-week shift pattern:

• Week 1: Monday to Friday
• Week 2: Sunday to Friday, with Thursday as the rest day

The pattern then rotates on an ongoing basis.

As part of the role, drivers will also rotate through warehouse duties approximately once every five weeks. This provides support to the wider operation and will involve a mixture of warehouse and manual handling duties.
