Job summary

Booker Group is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver at our Fareham Distribution Centre. You will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers, performing multi-drop routes and ensuring all paperwork is completed after deliveries.

The role requires a Class 1 licence and Driver CPC, plus a strong focus on customer service. Routes vary daily and may require flexibility in hours and early starts; overtime opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Licence held and valid CPC qualification.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service to retailers.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries; temperature controlled is a plus but not required.
• Flexible with changing routes and hours, including short-notice shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver stock to independent retailers' stores.
• Carry out multiple daily multi-drop deliveries; varies by day.
• Complete all delivery paperwork after each shift.
• Keep vehicle in good condition at start and end of shift.
• Work autonomously and as part of the transport team.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Fareham Distribution Centre as a Class 1 Driver.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for

• In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores.
• Completing several multi-drop deliveries a day (the amount each day will vary).
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery.
• That your vehicle is in good condition at the start and finish of your shift.
• Working autonomously as well as part of the wider transport team.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Licence Holder.
• Driver CPC Holder.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience of multi-drop; temperature controlled food deliveries preferred, but not essential.
• Routes vary daily and therefore successful applicants will need to be flexible in work and hours of work (including at short notice).

Please note that all candidates will have to undertake a drug and alcohol test as part of the pre-employment tests.

Schedules are:

• 45 hour contract with an alternating 2 weekly rota
• WK-1 Monday - Friday with WK -2 Monday-Saturday with a day off in the week
• or we have 40 Hour Contract
• Wk 1 - Monday Tuesday,Thursday,Friday and Wk 2 - Monday,tuesday,friday,saturday
