Job summary

Adapt Logistics is seeking Class 1 NIGHT Trunk drivers based in Haydock for overnight trunk runs to client DCs across the UK. The load is on stillages, so the FLT does the work; no handballing. Expect approximately 10-hour shifts with curtains opened/closed on site.

Rates listed per hour: £17.00/£19.05 with hol pay for M-F Days, £18.00/£20.17 for M-F Nights, £19.50/£21.85 for Sat, £21.00/£23.53 for Sun/B Hol; PAYE hourly with optional holiday pay accrual.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid C&E licence with a minimum of 6 months in C&E work.
• No more than 6 minor points on the licence.
• DCPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) card required.
• Good working knowledge of EU Driver hours and WTR rules.
• Enjoy working with people at stores and sites.
• Health & Safety awareness is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver loads to the client’s DCs across the UK.
• No handballing required; operate loading/curtains on site.
• FLT handles loading; open/close curtains on arrival.
• Work approximately 10-hour shifts.
• Follow company and safety procedures at all times.

Our client is looking for NIGHT Trunk drivers to deliver loads to their own DCs across the UK. The load is based on stillages, so the FLT does all the work. No handballing. Just open and close the curtains on site. Approx 10-hour shifts.

£17.00 or £19.05 inc hol pay M-F Days

£18.00 or £20.17 inc hol pay M-F Night

£19.50 or £21.85 inc hol pay Sat

£21.00 or £23.53 inc hol pay Sun / BHol

Here is what the clients’ criteria is to work here:-

• Hold a valid C&E Driving licence (with a min of 6 months in C&E work)
• No more than 6 minor points on Driving licence
• DCPC Valid card for Driver Certificate of professional competence card
• Good working knowledge of EU Driver hours and WTR rules
• Enjoy working with people at the stores
• Health & Safety awareness

Our drivers can expect Hourly PAYE rates and have the option to accrue holiday pay within their hourly rate or build a holiday pot to be paid when they are on holiday.
