Pertemps Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for night trunking based in Bedford. This full-time, ongoing role involves no store deliveries, no multi-drop routes, and no manual handling, focusing on safe, efficient trunk runs between RDCs and NDCs.

You will perform pre-shift vehicle checks, complete transport paperwork, and adhere to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations. Weekly pay, immediate starts, and night shifts from 22:00 to 00:00 make this a reliable night

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 12 months' recent Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• No DD, DR, CD, IN or TT endorsements.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Professional, reliable and safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

The Role

We're recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers to join a busy transport operation based in Bedford.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for straightforward night trunking work with no store deliveries, no multi-drop routes and no manual handling. You'll be driving modern wag and drag vehicles, completing trunk runs between Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) and National Distribution Centres (NDCs), ensuring freight is moved safely and efficiently throughout the network.

Your shift will involve carrying out vehicle safety checks, completing scheduled trunking routes, accurately completing transport paperwork and adhering to Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
