Job summary

GI Group is supporting our client in Marston Gate to recruit a Class 1 Shunter on an ongoing, full-time basis. You will move heavy goods vehicle trailers, perform safety checks, and maintain tachograph records. Training will be provided on day one to ensure adherence to Working Time Directive.

The role requires weekend availability for a 24/7 operation and a professional, customer-focused approach at store deliveries. Onsite parking is available.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards).
• Six months Class 1 licence + six months Class 1 driving experience.
• Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Move HGV trailers around depot yard or between local companies.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks and maintain digital tachograph records.
• Drive according to client standards; training provided on first day.
• Comply with Working Time Directive and Driving Hours regulations.
• Act as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores.
