Job summary

Culina in Minworth is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter to keep yard operations moving efficiently on a 4 on 4 off night shift.

You will safely shunt vehicles, position trailers, and perform safety checks. Applicants must hold Class 1, CPC and Tacho, with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous shunting experience required.
• Full C+E entitlement with in-date CPC and Tacho Card.
• Knowledge of Driver Hours and Road Transport Directive.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely shunt vehicles and trailers around the yard.
• Position trailers in the correct areas as directed.
• Complete safety checks and report defects promptly.
• Use two-way radios to communicate with Transport and Yard teams.
• Support trailer temperature checks and fuel levels as required.
• Manage yard traffic flow safely and efficiently.
• Liaise with other departments to assist loading/unloading.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
