Job summary

Flexible People Ltd in Doncaster is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for Tesco store deliveries on a major national contract. This ongoing, full-time role offers afternoon and night shifts, excellent hourly pay, and long-term stability with regular assessments.

Applicant must hold a UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, a valid Tachograph card, and be able to pass daily vehicle checks and safety rules. Commute to site required; own transport recommended.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Strong communication skills.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Driving Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles.
• Tesco store deliveries.
• Manual handling of cages into stores.
• Mixture of single and multi-drop deliveries.
• Working with 8m, 10m and 13m curtainside and box trailers.
• Double decker trailers (full moving floor training provided).
• 10-12 hour shifts.
• No nights out.
• Afternoon and night starts between 12:00pm and midnight.
