Job summary

Qube Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 2 (C) HGV Night Driver for a Tesco contract in Goole on a temp-to-perm basis. You will deliver to Tesco stores, work night shifts, and ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.

You must hold a valid Class 2 licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph Card; prior Class 1 experience is preferred. The role involves loading/unloading and keeping the transport team updated on deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 driving licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Prior Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Experience delivering to supermarkets is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods to Tesco stores.
• Complete store deliveries in line with planned routes and schedules.
• Handle cages and roll containers during deliveries.
• Safely manoeuvre the vehicle in delivery areas and loading bays.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Complete paperwork and follow delivery procedures.

HGV Class 2 Night driver - Goole - Temp to perm - £15.40ph - £17.65ph

We are recruiting experienced Class 2 (C) HGV Night Drivers to join a reputable and well known client of ours in Goole.

This role involves delivering goods to supermarket stores, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods to stores.
• Completing store deliveries in line with planned routes and delivery schedules.
• Handling cages and roll containers.
• Safely manoeuvring the vehicle in store delivery areas and loading bays.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.
• Completing delivery paperwork and following all delivery procedures.
• Maintaining regular communication with the transport team regarding delays or issues.
• Following drivers' hours regulations, road traffic laws and company health and safety procedures.
• Providing a professional and courteous service when delivering to Tesco stores.
• Ensuring goods are transported securely and handled with care.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (C) driving license.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Comfortable with store deliveries and handling cages or roll containers.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and road safety regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
