Job summary

Pure Staff Driving is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver for Bilston with consistent Thursday to Monday/Tuesday shifts. You will complete 1–3 RDC deliveries or collections per shift using refrigerated trailers, with reliable night work between 16:00 and 04:00 and occasional day shifts.

The role requires a UK Category C+E Licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver CPC Card, 12+ months HGV Class 1 experience, and a professional, safety-conscious attitude.

Job description

Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Bilston for one of our long-standing customers, a leading UK food manufacturer and distributor. This is consistent, ongoing Thursday/Friday to Monday/Tuesday work, completing 1 to 3 RDC deliveries or collections per shift using refrigerated trailers. We have consistent and reliable night available between 16:00 and 04:00, with shifts averaging around 10 hours.

Ideal for drivers wanting a regular working pattern with Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday off, with immediate starts and occasional temporary-to-permanent opportunities available.

Rates for an HGV Class 1 Night Driver

Monday to Friday (Nights) £20.17ph

Saturday (Nights) = £21.29ph

Sunday & Bank Holidays (Nights) = £22.41ph

The rates advertised above include 12.07% Rolled-Up Holiday Pay.

Prefer to have your holiday pay saved and paid when you take annual leave? No problem. You can choose traditional accrued holiday pay instead, in which case, the 12.07% holiday element is removed from the advertised hourly rate above, and accrued separately, and paid to you when you take annual leave.

Night shifts start between 16:00 and 03:59 and are paid at higher rates. We have day shifts available too.

To be successful in this HGV Class 1 Night Driver role in Bilston, you will need:

• UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card

• Minimum 12 month's HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
• A professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours, Working Time Regulations, tachograph legislation and daily vehicle safety checks.
