Job summary

Pure Staff Driving is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Bilston for a leading UK food manufacturer and distributor. Shifts run Thurs/Fri to Mon/Tue, completing 1–3 RDC deliveries or collections per shift with day starts between 04:00 and 16:00, averaging ~10 hours.

Nights are available with higher rates; temporary-to-permanent opportunities may arise for reliable performers. Immediate starts offered.

Qualifications

• UK Category C+E Licence and valid CPC card required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points.

Job description

Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Bilston for one of our long-standing customers, a leading UK food manufacturer and distributor. This is consistent, ongoing Thursday/Friday to Monday/Tuesday work, completing 1 to 3 RDC deliveries or collections per shift using refrigerated trailers. We have consistent and reliable day starts are between 04:00 and 16:00, with shifts averaging around 10 hours.

Ideal for drivers wanting a regular working pattern with Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday off, with immediate starts and occasional temporary-to-permanent opportunities available.

Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver

Monday to Friday (Days) = £19.05ph

Saturday (Days) = £20.17ph

Sunday & Bank Holidays (Days) = £21.29ph

The rates advertised above include 12.07% Rolled-Up Holiday Pay.

Prefer to have your holiday pay saved and paid when you take annual leave? No problem. You can choose traditional accrued holiday pay instead, in which case, the 12.07% holiday element is removed from the advertised hourly rate above, and accrued separately, and paid to you when you take annual leave.

Night shifts start between 16:00 and 03:59 and are paid at higher rates. We have nights available too.
