Job summary

Pure Staff Driving is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Day Driver for a Bilston-based role on a regular four-day week, Fri–Mon day shifts with early starts around 03:00 or 14:00–16:00. You will handle 1–3 RDC deliveries on each shift across nationwide routes with refrigerated trailers.

Rates start at £17.00ph or £19.05ph with holiday pay rolled up; weekends higher at £18.00–£21.29ph. This is ongoing work with potential permanent opportunities and direct PAYE employment.

Qualifications

• UK Category C+E Licence required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Valid Driver CPC Card required.
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers or RDC deliveries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 on a Fri-Mon day shift.

Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our long-standing customers based in Bilston. Immediate starts are available for a reliable HGV Class 1 Day Driver looking for a consistent Friday to Monday working pattern with one of the UK's leading food manufacturing and distribution businesses. Our customer is one of the UK's leading poultry processing and food manufacturing companies, supplying fresh and frozen chicken products to major supermarkets, food manufacturers and food-service providers nationwide.

This role is ideal for drivers looking for a regular four-day working week, with the opportunity to work Friday through to Monday on consistent day shifts before enjoying Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off every week (if they prefer). Drivers will complete 1 to 3 RDC deliveries or collections per shift using modern refrigerated trailers, transporting temperature-controlled products on professionally planned nationwide routes. Typical day shift start times are around 03:00 or afternoons between 14:00 and 16:00, with average shift lengths of around 10 hours, occasionally longer. This is genuine ongoing work with excellent temporary to permanent opportunities for dependable drivers.

Rates for an HGV Class 1 Day Driver

Monday to Friday (Days) = £17.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £19.05ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Saturday (Days) = £18.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £20.17ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Sunday & Bank Holidays (Days) = £19.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £21.29ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

To be successful in this HGV Class 1 Driver role, you will need:

• UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Minimum 12 month's HGV Class 1 driving experience

• A professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours, Working Time Regulations, tachograph legislation and daily vehicle safety checks.
