Job summary

Strive are recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Trampers driver based in Preston. You will transport customer goods nationwide, spend nights out in a dedicated unit, and ensure loading, safety checks and paperwork are completed to the office.

The role requires curtain-sider experience, an in-date CPC, a full UK C+E (Class 1) licence, and solid knowledge of the UK road network and tachograph rules. Monday to Friday pattern with nights guaranteed, aiming for safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Curtain sided trailer experience.
• In-date CPC
• 2+ years of HGV driving experience
• Full UK C+E (Class 1) licence
• Good understanding of UK Road Network and Health & Safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customer goods from collection to delivery sites.
• Spend nights out in a dedicated HGV vehicle during the shift pattern.
• Perform loading checks, safety checks and complete customer paperwork.
• Maintain compliance with tachograph, driving hours and road safety rules.
