Job summary

Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich is seeking a Class 1 Night Driver for Thetford area. Start ASAP, temporary to permanent contract. Pay £16.75 basic, £18.50 overtime after 10 hours, with 10 hours guaranteed daily. 28 days holiday prorated on PAYE; upskilling to HGV, ADR and HIAB after probation. Referral bonus offered.

Expect night work Monday to Friday with shifts around 3pm–5pm starts, driving a modern walking floor trailer, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual licence with Cat C+E entitlement.
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachocard.
• No more than 6 effective penalty points.
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 night shifts on a walking floor trailer.
• Overtime after 10 hours; typical 10-hour shifts.
• Shifts Mon-Fri nights, start between 3pm and 5pm.

Class 1 Night Driver

Pay rate: £16.75 - £18.50

Contract: Type: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Thetford

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for Class 1 Night Driver to start ASAP for our client based in Thetford, with all the support from our experienced Driver Hire team.

The successful Class 1 Night Driver will receive:

£16.75 basic

£18.50 overtime after 10hrs.

Guaranteed 10hrs per day.

28 days holiday prorated on PAYE.

Upskilling to HGV, ADR and HIAB after satisfactory probation period.

What to expect as a Class 1 Night Driver:

Working Monday to Friday nights between 3pm - 5pm starts. You will be driving a modern fleet with a walking floor trailer mainly doing trailer swaps of recycled tyres.

Shifts are typically 10hrs long with overtime available after 10hrs.

Training will be given on the walking floor trailer if needed

As a Class 1 Night Driver you must:

Full UK Manual Licence with Cat C+E Entitlement
