Job summary

Tomlin Personnel Ltd is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for on-site shunting duties with a client near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The role follows a 4 on 2 off pattern with an immediate start and potential temp-to-perm progression.

Experience with Terberg Tugs is advantageous; CPC and Digi card for Class 1 are required. PAYE rates apply: £16.80/h Mon-Fri, £20.00/h Sat, £21.00/h Sun, with enhanced 5th-shift rates from £24.00 to £31.50 depending on the day.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence required.
• CPC for Class 1 and Digi card up to date.
• Positive attitude and punctuality are essential.
• Smart appearance required when representing the company.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 for on-site shunting.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and good presentation.
• Be contactable during shifts as required.
• Work in PAYE arrangement with standard rates.

Our CustomerOur long established logistics client based near Mansfield Nottinghamshire has an urgent requirement for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team on a regular ongoing basis.

Job Description.

Work involves Class 1 HGV Driving work to Shunting on site and experience using Terberg Tugs is essential for this position. Experience in this work would be an advantage but not essential. Ongoing work available to the right Driver for this position.

Licence requirements

• HGV Class 1 Licence (No more than 6 points for minor offenses only)
• Up to date CPC for your Class 1
• Up to date Digi card for your Class 1

You Must

• Have a positive attitude and a great work ethic
• Be punctual
• Smart appearance as you will be representing the company (no Jeans etc.)
• Keep vehicle clean and to a good standard
• Good communication skills are essential for this position as you might be needed to be contactable throughout the shift

Salary:

• Monday to Friday per hour: £16.80 ph
• Saturday per hour: £20.00 ph
• Sunday per hour: £21.00 ph
• Extra shift rate (5th shift from £24.00 ph to £31.50 ph depending on the day this falls on
