Job summary

Tomlin Personnel Ltd is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for ongoing bookings across the UK. Roles include driving to manufacturing sites with various start times (days 0600–0800, nights from 1600). Curtain sider or box trailer experience is an advantage.

Competitive hourly PAYE and umbrella rates apply; ongoing bookings available in Leeds area. Applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence, CPC, and Digi card, and demonstrate a positive attitude, punctuality, and strong communications.

Qualifications

• Must have HGV Class 1 Licence.
• CPC for Class 1 up to date.
• Digi card for Class 1 up to date.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 to Manufacturing Sites or similar across the UK.
• Maintain professional appearance and represent the company on shift.
• Be contactable during the shift and communicate clearly with sites and control.

Our long established logistics client based Leeds West Yorkshire has an urgent requirement for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team on a regular ongoing basis.

Job Description.

Work involves Class 1 HGV Driving work to Manufacturing Sites or other similar sites across the UK. Various start times available ranging from Days 0600am to 0800am and Nights from 1600pm onwards.

Experience with Curtain Sider or Box Trailers would be an advantage but not essential. Block bookings for the rest of the year.

Licence requirements:

• HGV Class 1 Licence
• Up to date CPC for your Class 1
• Up to date Digi card for your Class 1

You Must:

• Have a positive attitude and a great work ethic
• Be punctual
• Smart appearance as you will be representing the company (no Jeans etc.)
• Keep vehicle clean and to a good standard
• Good communication skills are essential for this position as you might be needed to be contactable throughout the shift

Salary

Days per hour: £16.00 ph (PAYE), £18.50 ph (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Night per hour: £17.00 ph (PAYE), £19.50 ph (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Days/Nights - Saturdays - £18.00 (PAYE), £21.00 (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Days/Nights - Sundays - £20.00 (PAYE), £23.00 (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)
