Job summary

DFDS UK & Ireland is seeking a reliable Class 1 Driver with ADR Licence for night work based out of Kettering. You will collect ferry trailers and deliver to customer sites across the UK, handling curtain-sider loads and maintaining high safety standards.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, log driving hours accurately, and ensure compliance with road transport regulations while contributing to smooth supply chains and customer satisfaction.

About the role

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver with ADR Licence, working nights, to join our growing transport team. Based out of Kettering,you'll be collecting ferry trailers and delivering to customer sites across the UK, this will include loads like giant paper rolls, used to make cardboard boxes for home deliveries. This willinvolve tipping, reloading, and returning to the docks, helping keep vital supply chains moving.

About You

You’re a professional Class 1 Driver who takes pride in doing the job right. Whether your background is in general haulage, fridge work, or both, you’re thorough with vehicle checks, safety-conscious, and confident working independently.

You’re up to date with your ADR, CPC, DIGI card, and driving hours, and you bring a customer-first attitude to every job.

This role is ideal for someone seeking steady, well‑organised work with a supportive transport team.
