Job summary

Veolia ES Birmingham Limited is hiring a Class 1 driver to join our UK fleet out of Tyseley, working 40 hours per week with a 45-minute unpaid lunch. You will drive to planned locations, load waste, and ensure safe operation and compliance with all regulations.

The role involves weekend work on a 8-week cycle, with a rest day in the week to compensate. We offer training, pension, and health benefits as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat C+E (Class 1) licence with prior driving experience.
• CP/DIGI card held and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and load waste into a walking floor trailer.
• Ensure the vehicle is safely loaded and operated at all times while collecting or tipping waste.
• Perform daily pre-use checks and report defects to the transport office.
• Adhere to traffic laws and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Complete all scheduled work and comply with company standards.
