Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver for a well-established client in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. The role offers excellent pay rates, guaranteed minimum paid hours, no handball, ongoing work and real opportunities for progression.

Ideal candidates have an UK Category CE driving licence, CPC and digital tachograph cards, plus at least 12 months of Class 1 experience. Start times range 15:00–19:00, with Monday–Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence.
• Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences with no major endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out RDC and brewery deliveries using curtain-side vehicles with no handball required.
• Operating Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly.
• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers.
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance requirements.
• Completing all relevant paperwork and tachograph records accurately.
