Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. Earn £17.28 per hour base, with overtime at £21.60, and guaranteed minimum paid hours. Start times range from 15:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday, with weekly pay and ongoing opportunities for progression.

The role involves RDC and brewery deliveries using curtain-side gear, ensuring loads are secured and all tachograph paperwork is completed. Training and induction are provided on start.

Qualifications

UK CE licence and CPC/Digital Tachograph cards required.
Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
No more than six penalty points, no major endorsements.
Good spoken and written English.
Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
Safe driving with knowledge of traffic laws.

Responsibilities

Carry out RDC and brewery deliveries with curtain-side vehicles.
Operate Class 1 (CE) vehicles safely.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Ensure loads are loaded and secured properly.
Adhere to traffic laws and communicate with dispatch.
Complete paperwork and tachograph records.
