Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Sheffield area. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday with full time, part time or ad-hoc options. Start times range from 12:00pm to 21:00pm. Competitive rates apply with overtime, and weekly pay is provided. Induction and tacho card download are required for start.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
Minimum 6 months proven experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence and no infringement points for three consecutive months.
Flexibility to work shifts across Mon-Sun with start times 12:00–21:00.

Responsibilities

Execute depot pull and move trailers to hub.
Take vehicle to customer to collect trailer and return to depot.
Assist with loading/unloading at customer sites and depot.
Perform drop and swap operations, including tail lift use and occasional trailer swaps.
Collaborate with team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
Travel to local sites for a one-off tacho card download prior to being put forward.
Attend on-site induction for the first shift.
