Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of a well-known client seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E). Roles include full/part-time options with shifts across Monday to Sunday and start times from 12:00 to 21:00. Rates rise after 12 weeks, with overtime and weekend premiums in place.

Locations include Bicester, Sittingbourne, Crawley, Romsey, Burgess Hill, Newbury and Reading. On-site induction and local tacho card download are required before starting.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• Minimum 6 months proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no infringements for 3 consecutive months.
• Understanding of WTD legislation and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute depot pull and transport trailers to hubs.
• Engage in customer work, taking vehicles to customers and delivering to hubs.
• Assist with loading/unloading at customer sites and depots.
• Perform drop and swap operations with potential tail lift usage.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely deliveries and efficient operations.
• Travel locally for tacho card download prior to consideration.
• Attend on-site induction before first shift.
