Job summary

The Best Connection West Bromwich is seeking a Class 1 Low Loader HGV Driver (C+E) to deliver plant equipment across the UK. You will load, secure, and unload on sites, with 04:00–06:00 starts and 45–50 hours per week, including one night out.

This full-time role offers weekly pay, pension, staff insurance, and potential long-term opportunities for the right candidate; immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Driver CPC Qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Low loader experience preferred.
• Experience using straps/chains to secure loads advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of plant equipment
• Start times between 04:00-06:00, Monday to Friday
• X1 night out per week
• Driving safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Adhering to all health and safety standards, The Highway Code, and vehicle regulations
• Completing regular vehicle checks
• Keeping vehicles in clean condition

£18.00 per hour | £27.00 per hour after 9 hours

Monday to Friday | 45-50 hours per week

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering plant equipment, on a low loader to building sites across the UK. Must be confident in loading +unloading and securing plant equipment

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of plant equipment
• Start times between 04:00-06:00, Monday to Friday
• X1 night out per week
• Driving safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Adhering to all health and safety standards, The Highway Code, and vehicle regulations
• Completing regular vehicle checks
• Keeping vehicles in clean condition

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Driver CPC Qualification
