Job summary

Driver Hire Blackburn is recruiting an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver for general haulage across the UK. You will operate early starts from around 4:00am, handle loading and unloading where required, and complete 2-3 drops per day while maintaining safety and professional standards.

The role requires a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, strong knowledge of UK roads, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Experience in general haulage or similar delivery work.
• Professional attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries.
• Flexible for early-morning starts.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 HGV vehicle and complete 2–3 drops daily.
• Load, unload and secure loads as required.
• Perform daily vehicle checks.
• Deliver goods professionally and on time.
• Interact with customers at delivery locations.
• Follow transport legislation and company procedures.
