Job summary

Challenge Trg Recruitment in Barnsley is seeking Class 1 HGV drivers for full-time and part-time roles. You will palletise and secure loads, primarily trunking to depots, ensuring loads are strapped safely for delivery to retail stores and RDCs.

The role requires a valid UK C+E licence with at least 2 years of Class 1 experience, DCPC qualification, and compliance with drivers' hours/WTD. Excellent communication and a flexible attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E (Class 1) Licence with a minimum 2 years Class 1 driving experience required
• DCPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph
• Understand and able to comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and report defects correctly
• Excellent communication skills with a flexible, can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Paletised & secure glass to depots.
• Trunking role requiring load securing for delivery.
• Deliveries to retail stores and RDCs.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
