Job summary

DFDS is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Class 1 HGV driver for night shifts across the UK and Europe, delivering chilled, produce and ambient products to customer premises. The role involves both deliveries and collections, with emphasis on safety, on-time performance and excellent customer service.

You will hold a full HGV Class 1 licence, a valid Driver CPC and tachograph card, speak clear English, and represent DFDS professionally. We value diversity and inclusivity as part of our team.

About the Role

Working nights, you’ll be driving a modern fleet to transport goods safely and on time to various destinations. This role involves both deliveries and collections, so flexibility and a can-do attitude are key.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Delivering chilled, produce, and ambient products to customer premises
• Completing delivery notes and ensuring signatures on receipt
• Following all road transport regulations and tachograph requirements
• Recording activities accurately in line with legislation and company standards
• Securing loads properly and performing daily vehicle checks
• Working within European Drivers’ Hours and the Working Time Directive

About You

You’ll need a full HGV Class 1 licence, a valid Driver CPC, and a tachograph card to hit the road with us. Good communication skills in English and a professional attitude are essential, along with excellent customer service, because you’re not just delivering goods, you’re representing DFDS.
