Job summary

DFDS is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to join our UK fleet, delivering refrigerated goods across regional and national routes. You will operate fridge trailers, monitor temperatures and complete delivery paperwork with accuracy.

• Perform daily vehicle walkaround checks and report issues.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Adhere to all road transport and tachograph regulations.
• Ensure loads are secured and handled safely.

About the role

Shifts Available: Nights (Thursday to Sunday), Days (Thursday to Sunday) & Tramping (Friday to Monday)

You’ll be working with fridge trailers, transporting fresh and frozen food.

You will be responsible for:

• Driving Class 1 vehicles on regional and national routes

• Handling chilled and frozen goods, monitoring fridge temperatures

• Performing daily walkaround checks and reporting any issues

• Completing delivery paperwork accurately

• Following all road transport and tachograph regulations

• Ensuring loads are secure and handled safely

About you

To join our team, you’ll need a full HGV Class 1 licence, along with a valid Driver CPC and tachograph card. Experience with fridge work is a bonus but not essential, as training can be provided. Most importantly, you’ll bring a professional attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety in everything you do.
