Job summary

Avara Foods is hiring a Class 1 Hatchery Driver for the Quainton Hatchery in Buckinghamshire. You will collect and deliver eggs and chicks between breeder farms and the hatchery, working within company and legislative standards.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday with early start times (05:00–09:00). A valid C+E licence with CPC and Tacho is required, with 2 years’ Class 1 experience preferred. Benefits include pension, wellbeing resources, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• A valid C+E licence with in-date CPC and Tacho card.
• 2 years’ experience in Class 1 driving (desirable).
• Self-motivated, flexible, committed and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Distribution of eggs from breeder farms to the hatchery
• Deliver chicks to company and contract broiler farms
• Deliver eggs safely to the hatchery
• Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times
• Ensure the security of loads at all times
• Ensure the correct protective equipment is worn as specified
• Work effectively within time schedules and legislative standards, including the Working Time Directive
• Present a professional image of the company on all farms and liaise with site managers as required
