Job summary

Avara Foods is hiring a Class 1 Hatchery Driver for our hatchery in Quainton, Buckinghamshire. You will collect and deliver eggs and chicks between breeder farms and the hatchery, supporting safe operations and regulatory standards.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday with start times between 05:00 and 09:00. A valid C+E licence with CPC and Tacho is required, and there is an anti-social premium for night shifts. Training and development are provided from day one.

Qualifications

A valid C+E licence with in-date CPC and Tacho card.
2 years’ experience in Class 1 driving (desirable).
Self-motivated, flexible, committed and reliable.

Responsibilities

Distribution of eggs from various breeder farms to the hatchery.
Deliver chicks to company and contract broiler farms.
Deliver eggs safely to the hatchery.
Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times.
Ensure the security of loads at all times.
Ensure the correct protective equipment is worn as specified.
Work effectively within time schedules and legislative standards, including the Working Time Directive.
Present a professional image of the company on all farms and liaise with site managers as required.
