Gist Ltd. in Spalding, part of the M&S family, is recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers for trunking roles across the network. Expect regular shifts with evening/night start times, a modern fleet and the support of a dedicated transport team.

You'll have regular work, consistent hours, a modern fleet and the benefits that come with being part of the wider M&S family - all backed by a transport team that knows how important our drivers are to the operation.

The role at a glance

• £16.14 basic pay per hour + £1.79 per hour for unsociable hours worked
• £17.19 basic per hour on Saturdays and £20.36 per hours on Sundays
• Location: Spalding
• Experience: Minimum 18 months' Class 1 driving experience

Shift patterns

Friday - Sunday, Friday - Monday or Friday - Tuesday

Start times between 22:00 - 04:00 or 13:00 - 18:00

Additional shift premiums may apply depending on your working pattern.

The role - Trunking

A straightforward trunking role focused on depot-to-depot deliveries with planned routes and minimal disruption.

What you'll be doing:

• Completing planned trunk routes between depots and distribution centres
• Moving stock safely and efficiently across the network
• Supporting the wider transport operation
• Ensuring vehicle compliance and safety standards are maintained

Your day-to-day will include:

• Carrying out vehicle and safety checks
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork
• Working safely and efficiently to planned schedules
• Keeping in touch with our transport team throughout your shift
• Representing Gist and M&S professionally on the road and at stores

What we're looking for

You'll need:

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• A minimum of 18 months' Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC
• A driving record that meets our internal safety and compliance standards

• A reliable, team-focused attitude
• Confidence with manual handling where required
