Job summary

Gist Ltd. is hiring experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support M&S stores from Enfield. You will join a modern fleet, enjoy reliable work, and be part of a wider M&S family through Gist.

Role includes 40 hours per week, 5-of-7 rota with rotating weekends/bank holidays, and shifts starting between 02:00-04:00, with pay premiums for evenings, Saturdays and Sundays as detailed in the advert.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence and CPC.
• Minimum 18 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Professional and safety-focused approach required.
• Reliable, team-focused attitude essential.
• Confidence with manual handling where required.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned deliveries to M&S stores.
• Carry out vehicle and safety checks.
• Complete all relevant delivery paperwork.
• Work safely and efficiently to planned schedules.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team.
• Represent Gist and M&S professionally on the road and at stores.

Job description

As a Class 1 Driver, you'll play an important role in keeping M&S stores moving and ensuring products reach stores safely, efficiently and on time. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Completing planned deliveries to M&S stores
• Carrying out vehicle and safety checks
• Completing all relevant delivery paperwork
• Working safely and efficiently to planned schedules
• Maintaining regular communication with the transport team throughout your shift
• Representing Gist and M&S professionally on the road and at stores

You'll need:

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• A minimum of 18 months' Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC
• A driving record that meets our internal safety and compliance standards
• A professional and safety-focused approach
• A reliable, team-focused attitude
• Confidence with manual handling where required

The role at a glance

• £24.25 per hour + £2.35 per hour unsociable hours pay between 18:00-06:00
• £26.53 per hour on Saturdays
• £28.06 per hour on Sundays
• Performance-related pay: £480 per annum for Band A Microlise driving
• Location: Enfield
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Rota: 5 out of 7, including rotating weekends and bank holidays
• Start times: Between 02:00-04:00
