Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our transport team. You will handle long-distance deliveries and collections, ensuring loads are secure and paperwork is accurate.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, up to 6 points, and be willing to tramp away from home during the week. Excellent communication and a professional attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence and CPC & Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months' Class 1 experience.
• Maximum 6 penalty points, no DD/DR/IN/CD endorsements.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Willingness to work away from home during the week (tramping).

This role involves nationwide deliveries and collections, ensuring goods are transported safely, efficiently, and in line with all transport regulations.

• Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles for long-distance deliveries and collections.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Ensure loads are safely secured and transported in compliance with legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records.
• Liaise with transport planners, customers, and site personnel.
• Adhere to Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, and Health & Safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.

Requirements
