Job summary

Boughey Distribution in Newcastle-under-Lyme (Lymedale) is expanding its night shift driver team with a 5 on, 3 off pattern. You will complete vehicle checks, ensure safe and prompt deliveries across Cheshire and surrounding areas, and work as part of a busy on-site operation.

Qualifications

• A valid category C&E license is essential.
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift complying with all HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required
