Job summary

Boughey Distribution is recruiting for a night-shift driver at our Lymedale site, Newcastle under Lyme. You will work a 5 on, 3 off pattern and be paid £20 per hour weekly.

Essential are a category C&E licence, CPC and tachograph card, and experience driving Class 1 vehicles. Strong customer communication and teamwork with Boughey on-site are required.

Qualifications

• A valid category C&E license is essential.
• CPC and tachograph card with knowledge of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills for customer deliveries and on-site collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading/unloading positions and securing loads.
• Provide yard support with handball or pump truck deliveries when required.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift complying withall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required

What will you bring?

• A valid category C&E license is essential
• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Excellent communication skills to be able to handle both customer queries at point of delivery and collaborate effectively with the Boughey team on site
