Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver for a temporary ongoing role in Swindon. You will safely operate an articulated vehicle on planned routes, transporting mail and parcels for a major logistics organisation.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, accurate records, and loading/unloading while meeting delivery schedules. The role requires a UK C+E licence, Driver CPC, and a digital tachograph card, with up to 6 penalty points.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• 1 year previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
