Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd is recruiting a LGV Class 1 Driver for our West Thurrock operating centre. Shift is Monday to Friday with overtime available.

You will work closely with planning and training teams, delivering a high standard of service while maintaining safety and compliance with tachograph rules. We welcome drivers with varying experience; a full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and Tacho Card, 35 hours CPC and solid English are required.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence (1 year preferred).
• Driver CPC & Tacho Card.
• 35 hours CPC.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV within regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Complete tachographs accurately and maintain compliance with WTD regulations.
• Demonstrate professionalism and deliver excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with planning and training teams to optimise routes and schedules.

Shift is Monday-Friday with overtime available as and when you are availableAs a professional driver you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.You will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times.Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience.
