Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd in West Thurrock is recruiting a LGV Class 1 Driver for our Thurrock operating centre. Shifts are Monday–Friday with overtime availability; you will work closely with planning and training teams and other drivers in a supportive environment.

Flexibility with start/finish times is required to comply with Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations. Applicants must hold a full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and Tacho Card, 35 hours CPC, and have good written and

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest Privately Owned Transport Company. We are looking to recruit a LGV Class 1 Driver in our West Thurrock operating centre. Shift is Monday-Friday with overtime available as and when you are availableAs a professional driver you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.You will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times.Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn, growing our driving crew with knowledgeable and competent members. Successful applicants MUST have the following:

• Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence (1 year Preferred)
• Driver CPC & Tacho Card
• 35 hours CPC
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English (No test drives can take place without these documents and Minimum PPE of Safety Boots)
