Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment Ltd is seeking a professional Class 1 Night Driver (Trunking) for a role based in Wetherby. You will perform 1–2 return trunking runs between Wetherby and Sunderland each night, conduct daily vehicle checks, and deliver goods safely and on time.

The position requires a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence, 12 months' experience, a DCPC and a Digital Tachograph card. Competitive pay £19.04–£21.34 per hour, overtime opportunities, and regular weekly pay with immediate starts.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• A minimum of 12 months commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid UK Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 1 vehicle

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities may include:

What We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates that have good timekeeping, a strong understanding of road transport regulations and a safety-focused approach to driving.

You should be able to work independently, communicate effectively with the transport team and complete deliveries efficiently.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• A minimum of 12months commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid UK Driver CPC qualification (DCPC)
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
