Job summary

DHL in Daventry (NN11 5NF) is seeking a Class 1 Day Driver responsible for safe and efficient transport and delivery of products with strong focus on customer service and compliance. Candidates must hold a valid Class 1 driving licence and Driver CPC, and be capable of performing daily vehicle checks, completing paperwork, and maintaining high safety and service standards in a fast-paced environment.

• Valid Class 1 driving licence and Driver CPC qualification mandatory.
• Previous experience as a Class 1 driver is preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment.
• Good attention to detail and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver products in line with company, customer and legislative requirements.
• Complete daily vehicle checks, report defects and maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational standards.
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork, PODs and other transport documentation.
• Secure loads correctly, perform product checks and report any shortages, damages or discrepancies.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team and represent DHL professionally when interacting with customers.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Experienced Class 1 drivers with previous commercial vehicle driving experience.
• Individuals who can work safely within a physically demanding environment and follow established procedures.

• Drivers who are comfortable working shifts and can adapt to changing operational requirements.
• Those who hold a valid Driver CPC qualification and driving licence (essential) and enjoy delivering excellent service to customers.
