Job summary

HireGiant is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for ongoing UK deliveries from Birmingham. This temp-to-perm role offers a pay rise when permanent and involves general haulage duties across the UK with shift starts around 07:00 and 8–10 hour days.

Role requires a CAT C licence, CPC and Digital Tacho card, safety boots and Hi-Vis, and preference for candidates with at least 6 months HGV experience. Weekend shifts available, weekly pay.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months HGV experience.
• Class 2 licence entitlement – CAT C.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• Safety boots and Hi-Vis vest required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods using an HGV1 curtain side vehicle.
• Complete and verify delivery paperwork.
• Carry out HGV vehicle checks and maintenance checks.
• Adhere to WTD and EU tachograph rules while driving the HGV truck.

HireGiant is currently looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to work with our client based in Birmingham (b35). This is a fantastic opportunity for ongoing work completing general haulage deliveries across the UK! This is ongoing LGV work with the potential to become a permanent position! Temp to perm opportunity with a pay rise when permanent

The Role:

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be:

• Making goods deliveries using a HGV1 curtain side vehicle
• Must have at least 6 months HGV experience.
• Ensuring delivery is recovered and paperwork is in order
• Completing HGV vehicle checks
• Adhering to WTD and EU Tacho rules and regulations while driving the HGV truck
• Working Monday to Friday (optional weekend shifts available)
• Starting around 07:00am daily - shifts around 8- 10 hours

Requirements:

• Class 2 licence entitlement - CAT C
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
• Safety boots and Hi-Vis vest

Monday to Friday shift pattern - 07:00 Start

Shift Length - 8-10 hours

Up to £18.00- £20.00 per hour shift dependant (Monday to Friday)
