Gi Group are looking for reliable and motivated HGV Class 1 drivers for ongoing work with a carrier company based in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity for ongoing and consistent work.

Shifts include early and late starts with competitive hourly pay (£21.99 between 08:00–19:00, £25.13 between 19:00–08:00) and weekly PAYE benefits.

Qualifications

• UK HGV Class 1 Licence with CPC & Digi, valid and in-date.
• Minimum 1 year HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 SP penalty points, no BA/CD/CU/DR/IN endorsements.
• DBS check required; may take up to two weeks.

Responsabilités

• Trunking to hubs and depots.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
• Perform vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.

HGV Class 1 Driver - Slough

Pay

£21.99 per hour for hours worked between 0800 - 1900

£25.13 paid for hours worked between 1900 - 0800

• These rates are inclusive of holiday pay

Shifts / Start times

Tues to Sat - 0200 or 0500 starts

Mon to Fri - 0200 / 0500 / 1800 / 2000 / 2100 / 2300 starts

Your Responsibilities as a HGV Class 1 Driver

• Trunking to hubs & depots
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professionalism during deliveries
• Perform vehicle checks and ensure the van is in safe working order.

What You’ll Need as a HGV Class 1 Driver

• A valid UK, in-date HGV Class 1 License along with CPC & Digi
• Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 1 Driving is required
• No more than 6 SP penalty points accepted (no BA/CD/CU/DR/IN endorsements)
• Able to provide 5 years of work / education history for security clearance
• DBS check required (can be provided but may take up to two weeks)
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Good customer service skills and a safety-focused approach
