Job summary

The Best Connection is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Steel Drivers to join a well-established operation in the UK. The role offers excellent earning potential with £17.00 per hour, and £21.00 per hour after 52 hours, plus guaranteed minimum 10 hours per shift.

You will deliver steel products across the UK using flatbed and extendable trailers, ensuring loads are transported safely and professionally.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• 1 year of HGV driving experience.
• Flatbed or extendable trailer experience preferred (training available).
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR/DG/IN10 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver steel products safely across the UK.
• Secure loads with straps, chains and load restraints.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Work in line with health and safety procedures.
• Provide a professional and reliable service to customers.

The Role

• Deliver steel products safely and efficiently

• Work in line with all health & safety procedures
• Provide a professional and reliable service to customers

What We're Looking For

• Valid

Class 1 (C+E) Licence

• Minimum

1 year's HGV driving experience

• Flatbed or extendable trailer experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
• Valid

CPC and

Digital Tachograph Card

• No more than

6 penalty points

• No DR, DG, or IN10 endorsements
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
