Job summary

Booker Limited is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver at our Fareham Distribution Centre. You will work 45 hours across five of seven days with varying shift patterns, including Saturdays or Sundays per rota.

Drug and alcohol testing apply in pre-employment checks, and schedules rotate with a 2-week cycle. The role requires delivering stock to independent retailers with emphasis on customer service and multi-drop routes, in all weather conditions.

• Experience of multi-drop; temperature controlled food deliveries preferred, but not essential.

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Fareham Distribution Centre as a Class 1 Driver. The successful applicants will be required to work 45 hours per week, working any five from seven days on a variety of shift patterns, so there will be Saturday or Sunday working dependent on rotas. Our Class 2 jobs do require handball and manual work which can be a physically demanding. This includes working outside in adverse weather conditions and handballing product at some of the delivery points. Please note that all candidates will have to undertake a drug and alcohol test as part of the pre‑employment tests. Completing several multi-drop deliveries a day (the amount each day will vary). Ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery. That your vehicle is in good condition at the start and finish of your shift. Working autonomously as well as part of the wider transport team.
