Job summary

Booker Limited in Fareham is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our busy distribution team. You will deliver stock to independent retailers, handle unloading and paperwork, and represent the company on every route.

The role is 45 hours per week with alternating rota, requires a valid Class 2 licence and Driver CPC, and offers a supportive team, training, and a strong earning potential.

Qualifications

• Class 2 Licence Holder (LGV C) required.
• Driver CPC Holder required.
• Excellent customer service.
• Experience with multi-drop temperature controlled deliveries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver stock safely to independent retailers and complete required paperwork.
• Carry out multiple daily deliveries and ensure vehicle is well-maintained before and after shifts.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing Booker Limited on every delivery.

Important Information

Successful candidates will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test as part of our pre-employment screening process. You will be responsible for In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores. Completing several multi-drop deliveries a day (the amount each day will vary). Ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery. That your vehicle is in good condition at the start and finish of your shift Working autonomously as well as part of the wider transport team You will need Class 2 Licence Holder Driver CPC Holder Ability to deliver excellent customer service Experience of multi-drop temperature controlled food deliveries preferred, but not essential Available to work 45 hours a week (overtime available) Routes vary daily and therefore successful applicants will need to be flexible in work and hours of work (within a window time) Applicants will not be considered if they have more than 6 points on their licence, 'Careless Driving', prosecution for mobile phone use or drink driving or have failed to comply with 'Construction of Use'.

Schedules are

• 45 hour contract with an alternating 2 weekly rota WK-1 Monday - Friday with WK -2 Monday-Saturday with a day off in the week
• 40 Hour Contract Wk 1 - Monday Tuesday,Thursday,Friday and Wk 2 - Monday,tuesday,friday,saturday

You'll play a vital role in delivering products safely and professionally while representing our company to customers every day. This is a hands-on role Drivers are responsible for the safe delivery of products to customer locations, which includes unloading Caged stock and carrying out physical duties throughout the working day. As such, applicants should be comfortable undertaking manual handling activities and working in a fast-paced environment. The role can be physically demanding at times and may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
