Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) to operate as a brewery shunter at the Faversham site in Kent. You will move products between the brewery and distribution facility, ensuring safe, efficient stock flow and adherence to site procedures.

Requirements include a UK Class 1 licence, 12 months of Class 1 experience, DCPC and a Digital Tachograph Card, plus a professional approach focused on safety and customer service. Immediate starts available with regular shifts.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 12 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC) & a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service

Responsibilities

• Delivering empty kegs, casks and trailers to the brewery
• Returning loaded trailers containing full kegs, casks and bottled products to the distribution site
• Supporting operations across the keg plant, cask plant and bottling plant
• Collecting and delivering trailers in line with brewery requirements
• Operating a drop and swap trailer movement process
• Carrying out trailer curtain operation and securing loads correctly
• Completing all movements safely and in accordance with site procedures

Job description

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) -Brewery Shunter

Location:Faversham, Kent

Pay Rate:£14.98 p/h

Shifts:Monday to Thursday (06:00 - 17:00) and Friday (10:00 - 18:00)

Driver Type:Class 1 - Shunter Driver

Experience:2 years Class 1 experience required

Our customer operates a dedicated distribution site in Faversham, for their customer, one of the oldest brewers in the UK.

The Class 1 brewery shunter driver will support the movement of products between the brewery and the distribution facility.

The role is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of stock between the brewery's production areas and distribution operation.

The role will include:

• Delivering empty kegs, casks and trailers to the brewery
• Returning loaded trailers containing full kegs, casks and bottled products to the distribution site
• Supporting operations across the keg plant, cask plant and bottling plant
• Collecting and delivering trailers in line with brewery requirements
• Operating a drop and swap trailer movement process
• Carrying out trailer curtain operation and securing loads correctly
• Completing all movements safely and in accordance with site procedures

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
• At least 12 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification (DCPC) & avalid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
